After one of the co-founders attended an entrepreneurial conference designed to help startup companies in Colorado, called DenverStartupWeek, he wondered why this concept was not a part of the nonprofit ecosystem. So, DoingGood Week (www.DoingGoodWeek.org) was born! Created to mirror DenverStartupWeek, DoinGood Week has the vision of being a 100% FREE week-long conference to assist small (under $1MM annual budget) and local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in gathering the knowledge and skills they need to be more efficient and effective in everything from accounting to volunteer management and everything in between. As of now, support has not yet reached a level where the DoingGood Foundation can afford to make this event 100% free, however, it is provided to any member (Founder, board member, staff, volunteer, intern, etc.) of a small local nonprofit for just $20/day! In contrast, other nonprofit conferences cost $175-$400/day.
